The general objective of the Conventions is to bring together Deans from all over Europe to meet and to discuss in depth common topics, share experiences, identify solutions for problems and build up a network with peers in different European countries.
SEFI launched the conventions in 2005, under the Presidency of Prof. Borri, University of Florence. Since 2011, ECEDs are organised by SEFI, the local engineering education institution and other partners.
Upcoming Deans’ Convention
- 2025 SEFI Deans Convention –
We regret to inform you that SEFI will not be organising the European Convention for Engineering Deans (ECED) in 2025. Due to ongoing uncertainties and challenges in preparing the event, our Board has carefully considered the situation and decided not to proceed with this edition.
We recognise that ECED has been an important platform for engineering deans and leaders to connect, and this decision was not taken lightly. The Board evaluated various scenarios, consulted multiple stakeholders, and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality events that provide real value to our community. We will explore other opportunities to engage with our community in the near future.
